Today I stumbled upon* N.E.E.T., a virtual fashion magazine that only features independent designers, Etsy sellers and DIY crafters. As I read this from my dismal office, I am especially enjoying the article about quitting your day job to become a full-time designer from home. There was a short stint where I made quite a racket selling jewelry on Etsy. I was practically swimming in dollars! Perhaps I should revisit that idea, hmm?

Do it! I have a sole proprietorship license in Indiana now. So, I'm hoping to really expand my Etsy shop this year.
N.E.E.T. is....well, neat! I love finding new DIY designers.
Dude, talk to my friend Rebecca (http://www.flickr.com/photos/spydance/). She works part time as a librarian and part time as a sweater-decorater (see flickr). Anyway she is doing really well and her advice to me was: just do whatever you want and it will work out.
