Last Thursday during our weekly craft night, the biddies and I made an impassioned attempt at homemade valentines. We were elbows deep in doilies, construction paper and glitter. I was recovering from a nasty case of bronchitis, so the night's happening are a little fuzzy, although this photo on my instagram feed provided a clue. With a little help from the bottle (cheap wine for them, codeine cough sizzurp for myself), I think were able to truly express what was in our hearts.
While searching the Internet for valentine inspiration, we were charmed by images of campy vintage valentines. I think my dream job would be a 40's era author of valentine themed puns.

some of those vintage valentines are kind of creepy! especially the one with the knife eater!

They are SUPER creepy! It looks as though the knife is supposed to turn into her mouth because there is one of those grommets on her neck? I don't really get it, but I'm pretty obsessed with acquiring dark and weird vintage valentines now.
